How do you use HoldTight® SP8?
HoldTight® SP8 is a two-step process. Apply the SP8 Gel, let dwell, and then pressure wash with SP8 Rinse mixture. Please see data sheets for detailed application information.
How long will the surface remain rust free after cleaning with HoldTight® SP8?
Generally, two to four days depending on environmental circumstances such as precipitation, humidity, temperature, etc. Please refer to the product data sheet.
Will the use of HoldTight® SP8 interfere with coating adhesion?
Typically, not. Please see the Product Approval Matrix for many coating manufacturers that have approved use of their products on surfaces cleaned with HoldTight® SP8.
Disposal
Is HoldTight® SP8 nontoxic, biodegradable and able to be disposed of through typical sewers and bodies of water?
Yes, we have run several tests to verify these claims. Please ask your HoldTight® representative for testing information.

What level of water quality is recommended when using HoldTight®?
The quality of water is important to the effectiveness of HoldTight® SP8 Rinse. Please see the product data sheet for more information.
What is the right dilution rate of water to HoldTight® SP8 Rinse for my particular requirements?
Most times it is 1:50 (HoldTight® SP8 Rinse to water), but it can vary given the environment and conditions. Please contact our team with any questions about your specific project.
