Peter Petkas | President and Owner
Peter Petkas grew up in Houston where he spent much of his childhood traveling with his father through the oilfields of Texas. Petkas received a BA in History at Yale and then a JD from the University of Texas Law School. Petkas spent several years practicing law in Washington DC and later in the Washington office of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, a Dallas-based firm. Along the way, Petkas worked in the White House during the Carter and early Reagan Administration with responsibility for government re-organization and regulatory reform. In the mid 1980’s Peter Petkas and his associates at White Metal Inc., in Houston, developed a wet/vapor abrasive blasting system called the Jet Stripper, which led him to experiment in flash rust prevention, thus the idea of HoldTight®102 was born. By 1998, Petkas left White Metal Inc. and focused, through his new company, HoldTight Solutions Inc., solely on the manufacture and global distribution of HoldTight®102. Petkas is President and Owner for HoldTight Solutions.
